Capsaicin More Drug_uses What Is The Relationship Between Ascorbic Acid And Capsaicin In Hot (to Mild) Peppers?

What is the relationship between Ascorbic Acid and Capsaicin in hot (to mild) peppers? - capsaicin more drug_uses

I and two of my lab partners have sought at various levels of vitamin C in three peppers: red peppers, jalapeno peppers and habanero. We assume that the amount of ascorbic acid very closely correlated with the amount of capsaicin in peppers. (Do not measure the content of capsaicin, but we only our numbers in the comparison of vitamin C for a list of Scoville units, on the peppers.) Our forecasts have been almost completely opposite of our findings. Red Pepper - Chili lowest in Scoville units (zero, to be exact!) - Showed the greatest amount of vitamin C. However, our data may be distorted, which understand the matter more difficult, too! A few (unscientific) online sources, the hottest pepper, the highest content of vitamin C, so that our initial estimates.

So please, someone help us! Is the relationship between ascorbic acid and capsaicin, directly or inversely correlated? And what is the reason why the correlation?
